Frequently Asked Questions

COVID-19 Safety Standards

Your safety and the safety of our staff is our number one priority! We are taking extra precautions to help minimize the risks of COVID19.

  1. All clients will be asked to complete a COVID 19 screening form prior to their appointment. We are following all state guidelines. If any clients have had any symptoms of COVID19 in the last 14 days; have been exposed to any person with symptoms, confirmed positive, or have traveled to any high risk state, they will not be admitted for an appointment until they have completed their quarantine and tested negative for COVID19.

  2. All patients will have their temperature checked prior to being admitted to the building.

  3. We use a Medify Hr3 HEPA filter in our office for the cleanest atmosphere possible. This specialized filter cycles every 15 minutes to remove 99.9% of particles to 0.1 microns for the protection of our patients and staff members.

  4. All clients will be asked to wear a mask until removal is necessary for treatment unless treatment can be conducted without removal.

  5. Clients will be asked to wash and sanitize their hands upon entry.

  6. All surfaces and common areas will be sanitized and washed down between patients in order to minimize the risk of exposure.

Know that we greatly value your business; especially during this challenging time.
Your adherence to our guidelines and precautions is greatly appreciated! If you have any questions or concerns about these procedures prior to or after being treated, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Botox

What causes frown lines between the eyebrows?

The frown lines between the eyebrows are as common as they are unwanted. Overactive muscles in the face that form our expressions (like frowning) continuously crease our skin over time, making the lines deeper and more noticeable. These lines eventually begin to form what looks like a permanent “||” between the eyebrows. As we lose elasticity with age, this process becomes more exaggerated.

How does it work?

BOTOX, a neuromodulator blocks the signals to the targeted muscles and prevents them from fully articulating to the degree which leads to wrinkles. To achieve this, very low doses of the solution are injected under the skin, thus allowing the muscles to relax. BOTOX clients are still fully capable of articulating expressions on their face, because the effects are highly localized using the precise dosage.

Are there any side effects?

Side effects are uncommon and generally mild. Potential side effects include temporary drooping of the eyelid, or eyebrow, dry eyes, headache, minor discomfort in the injection site, inflammation, tenderness or minor discoloration like bruising , which fade quickly. In rare occurrences, infection may occur.

What is the treatment process like?

The treatment process is incredibly convenient and can be performed almost anywhere. For example, the procedure can be done during your lunch break and get you back to work quickly with no recovery or downtime needed. The exact dosage and locations of treatment can be determined in your initial consultation. No anesthesia is required and a topical numbing agent can be applied beforehand per patient request. The injections are tiny and the entire process takes about 15 minutes.

How long do the results last?

Botox is effective for up to three months but with routine maintenance, you can sometimes achieve longer results. Refresher injections every 3 months optimizes the results and provides effective wrinkle prevention. In some cases, BOTOX is metabolized more quickly.

Dermal Fillers

What is filler and how is it used?

Fillers like Versa and Juvederm are injectable gels used to treat volume loss that occurs in the skin over time without surgery. Target areas for treatment include moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds around the mouth, and flatness or sagging in the cheek area. FiIlers can also be used for augmentation of lips to give a fuller appearance, in the chin, and jaw.

What are possible side effects?

Similar to Botox, side effects with fillers are generally mild and resolve quickly. The most commonly reported side effects include injection-site redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising, itching and dryness.

What is the treatment process like?

Fillers are injected under the skin and it takes about 20 minutes or less to perf0rm the treatment. The product contains lidocaine that starts to numb the skin shortly after it is injected. Topical numbing cream can be applied prior to the procedure for enhanced comfort if the patient prefers. A follow-up visit will be scheduled no sooner than 2 weeks after treatment to evaluate the results. Additional treatments may be needed to achieve the desired results depending on the degree of wrinkles and volume loss.

How long do the results last?

Results last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years!

Will treatment interfere with any of my self care routines?

Talk to your clinician about any medications you are taking including over-the-counter meds like aspirin, ibuprofen or other blood thinners, as they may result in increased bruising or bleeding at the injection site. Also tell your clinician if you are planning other facial services including laser therapy or chemical peels, as inflammation may occur at the treatment site if these procedures are performed within 4 weeks of treatment. You’ll also be advised to minimize strenuous exercise, exposure to sun and alcoholic beverages within the first 24 hours following treatment.

Microneedling

What is microneedling and how is it used?

Microneedling is a treatment in which multiple tiny tears are created in the skin helping to induce your body’s own natural healing response through growth factor release such as collagen and elastin resulting in a multitude of positive benefits. It is used to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, scarring and hyperpigmentation.

What are possible side effects?

Redness, irritation, infection.

What is the treatment process like?

Topical numbing cream is applied to the skin for 20 minutes prior to treatment. The area is then cleansed with isopropyl alcohol and either a serum or platelet rich plasma is applied to the skin. An electronic derma pen containing 6 needles is used to cause 150 penetrations per second.

How long do the results last?

Improvement is usually noted within 2-4 weeks of treatment. For best results, a series of 4 treatments is recommended 4 weeks apart and once every 3-6 months after that for maintenance. Results can be enhanced even further by following an at-home microneedling regimen. The initial recommendation is for 4 treatments every 4 weeks followed by 1 treatment every 3-6 months for maintenance.

Will treatment interfere with any of my self-care routines?

Downtime from the procedure is minimal, and most activities can be resumed immediately. Skin may have a pinkish tine/appearance for 1-2 days, but refrain from applying makeup until the day following treatment. Microneedling treatments should be spaced 2 weeks apart from botox or filler treatments. Downtime is minimal. Pinkish tinge to the skin may last for a day or 2. Makeup can be applied the next day.

Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP)

Why would PRP be used instead of Botox or Filler?

PRP is a more natural treatment than Botox and filler. It uses your body’s own stem cells and growth factors via the platelets in your blood to rejuvenate the cells in your facial tissues and increase collagen and elastin production. This will help you to look younger over time. It will give somewhat of an instant result, but not as dramatic of a result as you will see from Botox and Fillers. For best results, a series of 3 treatments are recommended every 4 weeks with touch-up treatments every 6-12 months.

Are there side effects?

Side effects of PRP are very minimal. The most commonly reported side effects include injection-site redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising, itching and dryness.

What is the treatment process like?

The treatment is typically done in about 20 minutes, although more time for topical numbing cream may be necessary which is applied prior to treatment upon request. To begin treatment, blood is drawn from the patient’s arm. The blood then is spun in a centrifuge, which extracts the platelets and plasma from the patient’s blood. This is then injected into the areas of concern. These areas may include cheeks for a lifted appearance, under eyes to fill in the hollowed tear troughs, and the nasolabial folds on either side of the mouth to minimize the deep lines and wrinkles found in this area.

How long do the results last?

The results of a series of 3 treatment typically start to taper off around 12 months from the first treatment at which time an additional touch-up treatment is needed every 6-12 months for maintenance.

Anteage

How are stem cells sourced?

AnteAGE stem cells are exclusively sourced only from the bone marrow of young, healthy, pre-screened adult donors. Stem cell cytokines also contain none of the original cell parts themselves, only the beneficial growth factors they produce.

How does AnteAGE harvest stem cells for their products?

AnteAGE cultures stem cells in a laboratory, within a controlled environment that fosters production of the biosignals that will engage in skin repair and rejuvenation. They then harvest and extract the powerful growth factors and cytokines inside, discarding the cell itself. AnteAGE products are 100% free of inflammatory cells, cell fragments, RNA, or DNA.

Is there a difference between bone marrow stem cells and plant stem cells?

Mesenchymal stem cells originating from bone marrow are the most powerful and versatile population in your body, able to transform into myriad cell types to fight injury and inflammation. As they leave the bone marrow and travel throughout the body, these stem cells act as command and control centers, directing the process of healing to minimize overall damage. We can't live without these cells, and yet we have fewer of them working for us with each passing day. Cellese Regenerative Therapeutics cultures these cells in-vitro, providing them with a controlled environment to foster production of biosignals engaged in skin repair and rejuvenation. AnteAGE harvests these Growth Factors & Cytokines they produce and use them as its products' primary active.

What is the difference between AnteAGE and AnteAGE MD?

AnteAGE solutions are offered directly to the consumer as an over the counter, at home solution. AnteAGE MD products contain a significantly higher concentration of stem cell cytokines, and so can only be purchased directly from one of our certified AnteAGE MD Medical resellers.

How long does it typically take to see results?

Some results take time to achieve, and others happen quite fast. Some users see results in as little as 2 weeks, but a typical timeline for noticeable results is within 30 days. Most importantly, you’re preventing new visible signs of aging every day when you use the AnteAGE system.
